This PS-exclusive LEGO Star Wars DLC answers how C-3PO got his red arm

The free Phantom Limb Level Pack featuring C-3PO dropped today for LEGO Star Wars on both the PlayStation 4 and 3, according to a Sony blog post.

The pack covers Trouble Over Taul, a story in which C-3PO’s ship crash-lands on a barren planet called Taul. Over the course of the tale, C-3PO loses his arm and eventually gains the red variant that can be seen the Force Awakens.

The story, which takes place in the lead-up to the eighth Star Wars film, also features other playable droids. Per the blog post, they are:

[…] PZ-99, a security droid whose prime directive is to protect all non-combat personnel. Teaming up with him is VL-44, another security droid, armed with an incinerator to destroy gold LEGO bricks and fend off the hostile creatures on the surface of Taul. There’s also CO-34, a construction droid able to do most of the heavy lifting for the group, MSE-Y, a repair droid, GNK-189, a power droid, and 2MED2, a medical droid.

C-3PO being chased by alien.

Simon Pegg, who voices Dengar in Battlefront and the Clone Wars TV show, lends his talent to the pack via First Order droid O-MR1. This droid is taken captive by C-3PO and his band of Resistance droids.

No word on whether or not this DLC will make it to other systems, but it should be available for PS4 and PS3 players right now!
