Battlefront: Stormtrooper Luke unearthed in game files! (Updated; outfit was a mod)
Thanks to data miner Uninspired Zebra, we now have an idea of how Luke’s Stormtrooper outfit will look in Battlefront.
Posted on YouTube and shared via Reddit, Uninspired Zebra forced the skin to load on Sullust’s SoroSuub Centorplex map in Skirmish. Uninspired Zebra previously leaked gameplay of items like the Bacta Bomb and features like Skirmish.
Lead designer Dennis Brannvall has already revealed that Han and Luke would be getting their stormtrooper outfits for the Death Star. DICE also intended for Leia to get her white dress and buns. Unfortunately, Brannvall said that the skins weren’t ready in time during the reveal stream for the expansion.
I’m not really really sure why DICE withheld Luke if he is indeed in a playable state. Because the Death Star was the last update, he’s been in the game files since at least September 23. I can think of two reasons. DICE could still be tinkering with the model; Luke’s current hair doesn’t really mesh with his A New Hope look. It’s also possible that the other two outfits for Han and Leia aren’t actually ready.
Additionally, note that he probably won’t be playable on Sullust, like Uninspired Zebra shows in the video. Uninspired Zebra had to force the game to load the model and, as there isn’t a Death Star Skirmish map, he chose Sullust for the example. Edit: I’ll add that it is possible for Luke’s stormtrooper skin to be playable on Sullust. However, Uninspired Zebra has used a debug menu in the past to force items to load. This means that Luke’s appearance on Sullust isn’t necessarily indicative of what will happen once it does arrive.

Sorry everyone, I forgot to update the description. This is a custom mod / joke, not the upcoming skin!
So basically I have an old bundle definition for space Luke, which means I can see what files get loaded in for him (even though I don’t have the actual files themselves). So I used that to piece together what it could look like for a bit of fun.
My comment was about how the bundle seems to load regular Luke’s head (hence “it’s definitely missing a few pieces”). I deleted it as soon as I scrolled down and saw people didn’t know it was a mod. Sorry again!
So that seems to answer a few questions, basically regarding Luke spawning on Sullust and the mash-up between Luke’s hair and the uniform. While Brannvall has said that this is look is coming, this definitely is not how it will appear. Edit: I’ll add that it does give an idea for what Luke might look like. It’s just that it’s not a final, or even official, rendering from DICE.
Additionally, this further means that Stormtrooper Luke is likely not in the in-game files.
