EA/DICE responds to several issues in Battlefront; patch to come (Updated)

Battlefront’s community manager, Mat Everett, recently went on the game’s official forums to comment on several issues plaguing the game.

First off, he confirmed that a patch will be arriving to the game soon.

“The team is currently working on a patch update that will address many of the reported bugs, full details to come as soon as we’re able to share them,” Everett wrote.

I assume this implies that a patch will indeed arrive before December’s Rogue One DLC, but Everett’s wording isn’t 100-percent clear.

Next he responded to tokens not refreshing in Fighter Squadron in Skirmish, as well as the new hero ships not being usable in Skirmish.

“The token issue is an odd one for sure and one I have alerted the team too,” Everett wrote. “But the additional new ships are not offered in Skirmish. At this time, only launch content is available to play.”

No word on if the hero ships (Luke’s Red 5 X-Wing and Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced) will become available in Skirmish in the future. However, considering that the ground-based DLC heroes are playable, hopefully the airborne heroes will make an appearance, too.

Everett also confirmed the dev team is looking into these issues:

Note that hero designer Guillaume Mroz previously confirmed that Bossk’s Predatory Instincts had been fixed in a local build. Producer Paul Keslin also previously acknowledged several hero issues in the game.

Ideally the potential patch will come sooner rather than later. As Tuesdays are normally when patch updates fall, it’s possible an update could arrive as early as October 25. However, sometime in November seems more likely at this point.

Update 3:20 p.m. PT: Just noticed this earlier tweet from Everett regarding Skirmish:
