Battlefront dev calls Rogue One DLC playtest “so much fun!”
With a month to go until Battlefront’s Rogue One DLC, level artist Daniel Cambrand revealed that playtests are happening for the pack.
Cambrand tweeted out this news earlier today:
Today's playtest was so much fun! Want to play this in a live environment right now.

Cambrand later confirmed in a tweet reply to Star Wars HQ that he was indeed talking about the upcoming Rogue One expansion.
It’s cool to see his enthusiasm for the expansion although, considering he worked on pack, it isn’t very surprising.
However, he played coy in giving out any further details on the DLC, which will be set on the planet Scarif.
“No hints I’m afraid,” Cambrand wrote in reply to a user on Twitter. “We will inform you as soon as the info is made public mate.”
No specific date is set yet for the expansion’s release, beyond the month of December. However, Cambrand tweeted out on Friday that he had completed his work on the DLC. For previous expansions, Cambrand finished up roughly three weeks before the expansion arrived to the public, so perhaps that gives a clue. Doing similar math here could pin down a potential release date of December 6 or 13.
Of course, Rogue One the movie doesn’t hit screens until December 16 and previous DLCs didn’t drop until later on in the month. With this in mind, I reckon December 20 is still on the table as a potential release date.
