A free trial for Battlefront’s Rogue One DLC is happening this weekend
Players who haven’t purchased Battlefront’s Rogue One expansion pack will get to experience the planet Scarif for free this weekend.
This trial was announced via an in-game notification. Players are shown the notification in the image below upon logging into the multiplayer portion of the game:
The Rogue One: Scarif DLC features three ground maps and one space map. Its three-part exclusive mode is called Infiltration and revolves around the Rebel assault on Scarif. You can learn more about that mode in this post.
While not confirmed, players should also gain access to the DLC’s exclusive heroes—at least within the Rogue One: Scarif playlist. Find out the details on Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic in this post.
Note that the Hutt Contracts exclusive to the Rogue One expansion probably won’t be available to trial players this weekend, just the playlist.
No word yet on when the free trial will exactly end, but I’ll be sure to keep an eye on it. I expect it’ll run through at least all day Sunday, February 19 in the U.S., but that’s just a guess for now.
