You can now book free tickets to EA PLAY; Battlefront II to be playable

EA announced earlier today that registration is now open for free tickets to the company’s pre-E3 event, EA PLAY.

The event will be held June 10 to 12 in Hollywood, California at the Hollywood Palladium. Its biggest attractions include a playable build of Battlefront II. The game being playable at EA PLAY is in anticipation of Battlefront II’s full launch on November 17.

To register for your tickets, head on over to the official registration site. Note that while there is no cost to attend EA PLAY, tickets are limited and only available while supplies last.

Besides Battlefront II being playable on the show floor, EA will host a 90-minute presentation called “Live @ EA PLAY”. Battlefront II isn’t confirmed to feature in the presentation just yet. However, EA promises that the presentation will include “in-depth gameplay walkthroughs, conversations with the development teams and behind-the-scenes looks at EA’s hottest games.” Based on that wording, it seems highly likely we’ll get at least a glimpse of Battlefront II sometime during those 90 minutes.

Personally, I’m expecting a Battlefront II gameplay trailer at EA PLAY (similar to how EA’s first Battlefront showcased its gameplay trailer at E3 in 2015). Additionally, I hope we’ll get out first in-game look at the clone troopers and maybe Kamino.

This is the second straight year EA has skipped E3 and done their own event. Last year’s EA PLAY saw the first glimpse of Visceral’s Star Wars game as well as Lando Calrissian in Battlefront via an EA Star Wars look ahead trailer. This year’s E3 event will be held June 13 to 15.
