Developer says clone troopers “look amazing” in EA’s Battlefront II
Based on recent comments from a developer, the clone troopers sound like they’ll look pretty sweet in Battlefront II.
This comes by way of the game’s design director Dennis Brannvall. Per Twitter:
@Evil_Genius_481 just got the final model in a few weeks back. They look amazing

It’s not really shocking that Brannvall would say the clones look amazing (and I really wouldn’t be surprised if they do, especially considering how good EA’s last Battlefront looked). Instead, the interesting bit to me is that the models were finished a few weeks ago.
Hopefully, this means we’ll see a full-on clones versus droids gameplay trailer at EA PLAY (which runs June 10 to 12). My money is that EA’ll show off and have a battle on Kamino playable at EA PLAY, but that’s just speculation for now.
At this point, we don’t have rendered images of clones or Kamino. All we have of both is the above concept art, so I’m certainly keen to see what EA’s Frostbite Engine can do.
Next, Brannvall also replied to someone asking about which B1 battle droid voices we’ll get in Battlefront II:

Personally, it seems that Brannvall is confirming the battle droids’ Revenge of the Sith voices. However, he could just be having fun with his answer. It’s also possible that the droids will have different voices depending on the map. This would help the droids match the era aesthetic of each map, which was confirmed yesterday.
The battle droids in the prequel era actually have a several different voices. Here’s what they sounded like in Episode III:
Personally, I prefer their Episode I voices, which sound a tad more serious. Here’s that voice:
Then their’s also their voice from The Clone Wars TV show, which I also won’t mind (that version seems in between the ones from Episode I and III). Again, hopefully we’ll learn which voice is used for certain come EA PLAY in June. Regardless, it’s still very cool that we’re getting prequel era content in Battlefront II!
