EA confirms Battlefront II gameplay will be at EA PLAY: What could we see?
Just yesterday, EA confirmed Battlefront II gameplay premier will occur June 10 at EA PLAY.
This info came via a tweet:

As EA stated the gameplay reveal date is June 10, all eyes should be on EA PLAY’s opening presentation, which will start at Noon PT / 3 p.m. ET on that Saturday. The presentation will be livestreamed for those who can’t make it to EA PLAY at the Hollywood Palladium.
Previously, gameplay being shown off at EA PLAY had been alluded to. Additionally, players attending EA PLAY have been promised to get a hands-on experience of Battlefront II. So it’s not exactly shocking we’ll see gameplay at the event. However, this is the first official confirmation.
So what could we see?
To start, I’d guess we’ll likely see a several minute-long gameplay trailer. This trailer will likely introduce us to at least one multiplayer mode.
Of course, what’s still up in the air is which eras we’ll see at EA PLAY. My hope (and guess) is that we’ll get a full-on look at the clones and droids. The game’s reveal trailer failed to show off this portion of the game, so it’s not unreasonable to expect some clone trooper gameplay at EA PLAY. Personally, I hope the gameplay takes place on Kamino, but I wouldn’t say no to Naboo or some unannounced Prequel Trilogy-era planet.
Finally, a common bit of speculation I’ve seen based on EA Star Wars’ above tweet is that the multiplayer mode that will be shown off at EA PLAY could be called “Ground Assault”. This definitely seems probable and could indicate the mode will play off of Walker Assault, the marquee mode of EA’s first Battlefront.
And for those wondering, I have seen the supposed “leak” from Reddit. I will not be covering it in a full article for now because I am unable to verify if the leak is true or not. It’s quite possible it’s real; however, it comes from a random Redditor with an account that’s only four days old. There’s simply no way verifying the leak at this point. Additionally, I’ve become wary of covering leaks after issues in the past several months.
If you’re able to make it to the Los Angeles area June 10 through 12, tickets to EA PLAY can be picked up for free. I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to the event by EA and hope to see some of you there!
For those not in LA, EA has promised to further livestream “behind-the-scenes looks and developer interviews” as well as “in-depth gameplay walkthroughs and new gameplay footage” of their games, so hopefully we’ll get plenty of Battlefront II details throughout the weekend.
Battlefront II will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17. Stay up-to-date on all things Battlefront II by liking SWGO on Facebook and following on Twitter.
