These Battlefront II images show off Rey in Maz’s Castle; Phase I Clone Jump Trooper on Kamino

Several Battlefront II promo images arrived late yesterday on StarWars.com and they’re all quite gorgeous.

While the above image of Rey facing off against a pair of First Order stormtroopers in Maz’s Castle on Takodana is very nice, I’m a huge fan of the one below. It features a Clone Jump Trooper taking on a B2 Super Battle Droid on Kamino.

The coolest bit is that this clone is a Phase I trooper, not the Phase II variety that’s been shown off in much of the EA PLAY content. It also seems that the Kamino Jump Troopers may have black markings instead of the red ones we saw on Naboo. However, that may just be the lighting.

Battlefront II’s designer director Dennis Brannvall confirmed on BattlefrontUpdates’ livestream this morning that the Phase armors are tied to the map. So Kamino will only include Phase I troopers, while maps like Theed will have Phase II. Based on a previously-covered image, Kashyyyk will see Phase II clones.

There’s also this image that shows of a confrontation on Theed map. It gives a nice look at the backpack for the clone specialist:

I’m currently at the airport all set to leave Los Angeles and EA PLAY, but I hope to watch the entire stream some point soon to find out what more Brannvall said. I’m also planning on writing up my gameplay opinions and deeper looks at classes, Star Cards, weapons, heroes and vehicles all throughout the week. There’s honestly so much content to sift through and go over!

Battlefront II will arrive November 17 to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Follow SWGO on Facebook or Twitter for all the latest news.
