New info on Chewie’s bowcaster in Battlefront teased

 

After giving some information about Battlefront’s upcoming heroes on Sunday, Guillaume Mroz teased a bit about Chewbacca’s bowcaster earlier today.

“His bowcaster doesn’t behave same as the [Star Card],” wrote the game’s hero designer in a tweet. “Also, as with most hero abilities, he won’t take damage from his own weapons.”

It will be interesting to see how the Wookie’s bowcaster differs from the game’s current Star Card version. Putting on the speculation cap, maybe it fires a single bolt instead of the five bolts that the Star Card does. Chewie’s bowcaster does shoot a lone bolt in the films.

Mroz could also be hinting that the bowcaster will feature as the primary weapon for the Wookie, instead of a sidearm (which wouldn’t be that surprising).

I am unsure what to make of the second half of Mroz’s tweet. Perhaps he’s referring to Chewie’s other abilities or the splash damage from the bowcaster.

Regardless, while we won’t be seeing Chewbacca or Bossk in today’s gamescom livestream, hopefully we will learn more about them soon!
