New Rogue One toys provide better look at possible Battlefront outfits
The Rogue One outfits just keep coming.
After last week, where an image of the Imperial Ground Crew surfaced and the new Scarif Rebel Pathfinder was revealed, we now get a closer look at three Imperial troopers that will be in Rogue One.
Because the fourth expansion for Battlefront centers around Rogue One, it’s possible that all or some of these could make their way into the game.
As shown above, the Death Trooper is on the left, the Imperial combat driver is in the middle and the shoretrooper rounds out the trio on the right. I do also have a slightly higher quality version of the image above.
These images of the action figures come by way of Star Wars Toy News. Their article notes that the Death Trooper should be available in December of this year. The combat driver and the shoretrooper should be ready starting in January.
Other Rogue One toys also appeared this past week, too: a base stormtrooper and the movie’s new droid K-2SO.
Hot Toys further gives us a better look at the Death Trooper with their new 1/6th scale collectible of the trooper.
From the images, it appears like the Death Troopers carry several grenades and an SE-14C blaster pistol, plus the carbine blaster that’s been featured in trailers. That carbine is also held by the combat driver in the image at the top of the page; considering how prevalent it’s been in the marketing of the movie, I wouldn’t be shocked to see it arrive in Battlefront.
Hot Toys has previously done 1/6th scale Battlefront figurines in the form of Shadow Troopers and Shock Troopers.
Personally, I hope to see the shoretrooper make an appearance in Battlefront. However, the combat driver has a crisp design that would be awesome to see. Death Troopers are also cool, but we do already have an all-black design in Battlefront via Shadow Troopers.
