EA servers struggling for Battlefront, other games (Updated x4)
Looks like servers for Battlefront are seeing issues.
Multiple users on both Reddit and the forums have reported connectivity issues. This problem is causing a timeout error when users attempt to connect.
As of 8:50 p.m. PT, I was able to log into Xbox One servers for Battlefront on West Coast US after initially having some problems. No dice for PC, though, as I was unable to even launch Origin. Note that location may come into play regarding if you can log in or not.
These EA server problems don’t seem isolated to Battlefront, either.
EA Support recently tweeted:
We are aware of connectivity issues affecting players at the moment and are currently investigating. Thank you for your patience.

Connectivity issues are also apparently present in Battlefield 1. Titanfall also tweeted out (which was further quoted by Battlefront and Titanfall 2 community manager Mat Everett):
Origin is having issues that may prevent some PC users from launching #Titanfall2. Standby for updates.

As of 8:50 p.m. PT, the outage seems to mostly be affecting the United States and Australia, according to DownDetector:
No official word yet on what might be causing these issues.
I’ll be staying up-to-date on the situation. Hopefully we’ll get a resolution soon.
Update 1:15 a.m. PT 10/30: It appears that this could be another DDoS attack on EA’s servers. Perhaps the most substantial claim supporting this is YouTuber Westie’s tweet:
Seems EA servers are being hit again. Doesn't appear to be EA's fault, external attack :/ https://t.co/TB45ogTfgn

This would mark the second time in recent memory when EA servers went under attack. Previously, a DDoS attack affected many EA games during Battlefield 1’s beta. There was also a recent DDoS attack just over a week ago that afflicted numerous online services, including some run by EA.
Some users have reported being able to access the EA servers intermittently. Unfortunately, the up time appears to be rather short for some. For what it’s worth, I was able to log into Origin on PC while writing this update.
Of course, as there has been no official word confirming a DDoS attack, I’d mark this as a rumor currently.
9:30 a.m. PT 10/30: I just woke up here on the West Coast and hopefully the situation should be resolved now:
The connectivity issues have been resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience. If you are still having trouble connecting please let us know.
— EA Support (@AskEASupport) October 30, 2016
I’ve been able to log into EA services, so hopefully things are all good to go.
9:54 a.m. PT 10/30: I’ve done a bit more digging and some users are still reporting issues:
@Docspears90 We are currently investigating an issue with this Brent, sorry for the inconvenience caused -Shane

I’ve also seen similar reports across Reddit and the Battlefront forums, so it looks like the situation may not be 100℅ resolved just yet.
12:16 p.m. PT 10/30: The official account for Titanfall just tweeted this out:
Origin issues have been resolved and all Pilots should be able to access the Frontier #Titanfall2.
— Titanfall (@Titanfallgame) October 30, 2016
Hopefully this indicates any lingering issues will be fixed by this point.
