Change of leadership coming to Battlefront’s dev team
Battlefront’s lead designer, Dennis Brannvall revealed today that he’s worked his last day on the project.
The information came via a tweet:
So today I worked my last day on Battlefront. I'll be on paternity leave, taking care of my two boys. See you next year!

Before going into anything else, congratulations to Dennis and his family! Adding another child is always exciting. This news comes after Brannvall revealed a couple of weeks ago that his family was expecting a child.
No word yet on who will take over Brannvall’s role of lead developer.
It’s also unclear on what his next position at DICE will be; it could be with Battlefront 2 or a different game. He does note that Sweden requires “480 workdays [off] per kid” and that he also has “stockpiled vacation days and stuff too.” He previously worked on Battlefield 4’s DLC packs.
While it’s unknown who will be taking over, the dev team still has a bit of work to do. There is at least one confirmed content update left with the Rogue One expansion pack, which is due out next month. Then hopefully at least one or two bug patches after that (if not at least a little free content).
