Force Arena to receive new content every month, according to production director

In an interview earlier today with iDigitalTimes, Netmarble’s Hong Seo Park teased some of the developer’s future plans for their mobile game Force Arena.

Perhaps Park’s biggest tease in the interview was the promise of monthly content updates.

“For major updates, we are looking at introducing new content every month, but there may be minor changes to schedule,” he said.

Additionally, Park hinted that the Force Arena character roster will expand in future updates.

“We still have characters that we haven’t been able to introduce, and some of the characters that players want will continue to be updated,” he said. “We are also planning a new update that features a larger universe than what players see in the 1v1 and 2v2 battles currently available within the game.”

I’m not entirely sure what he means by “larger universe”. It could indicate an increased character roster (which Lucasfilm touched on last month), but it might also hint that larger modes are inbound. 3-versus-3 or 4-versus-4 combat would certainly be interesting!

Balancing tweaks are also planned roughly “every two weeks.”

Those were the biggest bits of info Park shared in the interview, although he also discussed his character preferences and how Netmarble feels to be working on a Star Wars IP. To read the full piece, head on over to iDigitalTimes.
