Preview video of heroes posted for the Battlefront III: Legacy mod
I’ve covered Battlefront III: Legacy several times before, but today a video was posted covers the mod’s array of heroes.
That mod is a project that’s porting over some of the cancelled Battlefront III into Battlefront II. And, as with much of the mod’s previously shown off content, its heroes look pretty sharp.
The heroes roster include Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Lando Calrissian, Rahm Kota, X2 and Ben Kenobi (a.k.a old Obi-Wan). For the villains, the mod offers Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Starkiller, Emperor Palpatine, Juno Eclipse, Captain Botha, IG-88, Bossk, X1 and Director Orson Krennic.
I’m a huge fan of the Boba Fett model; it looks super crisp and is miles better than the vanilla Boba Fett from Battlefront II. It’s also fun to see the mod’s take on Krennic; his abilities include an astromech with a personal shield and an Armor Breaker shot just like in EA’s Battlefront.
I’ll also add that it’s fun to see Old Ben running around the Battlefront. I know that his character was commonly requested for EA’s Battlefront.
The video also includes some of the glitchy nature of Battlefront II’s AI, which is always fun to see. For instance, in an early part of the video, an AI Lando stays in a turret despite taking heavy fire from the player-controlled Boba Fett.

If you are keen to check out the mod for yourself right now, there’s an alpha version on its Moddb page.
