Rogue One map for the original Battlefront II now playable in alpha test

Get ready for a little Scarif in Pandemic’s Battlefront II.  That’s because a couple of modders created Scarif: Imperial Landing Zone, a Rogue One-inspired map for the second Battlefront game.

Covered before on SWGO, you can download the map via Moddb. Note, however, that it’s currently in an alpha phase. As such, bugs are to be expected. For instance, sounds do not work for U-wings and TIE Reapers and other issues persist, such as a lack of map boundaries. However, hopefully these problems can be fixed as work on the mod progresses.

Otherwise, it’s a rather solid mod. It adds the aforementioned Rogue One-specific ships to Battlefront II. Additionally, shoretroopers and Imperial technicians make their way into this mod. There are also a slew of other tweaks to various classes from the game.

I’ve had a chance to play the map and it’s pretty fun. The map’s custom models look clean and sharp. There are also over ten command posts, and a couple of them (the ones with a Zeta Class Shuttle) are destructible, which is a nice touch.

The mod itself is crafted by Gogie from the Gametoast forums (who is also D.Onizaki on Steam and Moddb). For more details (and to follow the mod’s creation process), I recommend checking out its thread on the Gametoast forums.
