Arrow actor Paul Blackthorne confirmed for EA’s Battlefront II

WARNING: Minor Battlefront II spoilers may lie ahead.

Paul Blackthorne, who plays Quentin Lance on The CW show Arrow, has recently been confirmed to be playing a character in the upcoming Battlefront II.

Keen-eyed viewers spotted Blackthorne in part of the behind-the-scenes footage that was recently released:

Blackthorne then confirmed via Twitter that it was indeed him in the short snippet:

He went on to add that his character is a member of Inferno Squad named Gideon Hask:

If there was any reason to doubt Blackthorne, the official EA Star Wars account confirmed his role and Hask’s membership in Inferno Squad via Twitter.

Blackthorne later noted that he did both the vocals and motion capture for Hask.

“The process is so sophisticated now that for good or for worse, Hask will look like me,” he wrote on Twitter.

Interestingly, this is the third time Blackthorne and Janina Gavankar—who plays the game’s protagonist Iden Versio—have worked together. Gavankar has been on four episodes of Arrow and they both were in the 2010 supernatural crime drama, The Gates.

Blackthorne and Gavankar’s roles in the single-player campaign have been written by Mitch Dyer, who previously worked at IGN, and Walt Williams, who penned the campaign for the third-person shooter Spec Ops: The Line.

I admittedly haven’t really watched too much of Arrow. However, I do have a few friends who watch it and I know it’s a popular show, so I assume Blackthorne’s presence in Battlefront II will be exciting for some.

Battlefront II will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17. Stay up-to-date on the game’s progress by following SWGO via Twitter or Facebook.
