DICE wins sound design award for work on Battlefront

DICE's 2017 TEC award for Battlefront.

The team at EA/DICE were recently recognized for the sound design of their 2015 game, Star Wars Battlefront.

As part of the 32nd Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards, DICE was given the Interactive Entertainment Sound Production award for Battlefront.

The game wasn’t the only Star Wars property to win something at the event, either. The 2015 film The Force Awakens picked up the Film Sound Production award.

While some may critique the game’s mechanics or overall content, DICE really nailed the Star Wars feeling of the game, and that includes the game’s sound design. Considering DICE’s past achievements with sound in video games, this award was much-deserved. Congratulations to all those involved!
