Livestream locations announced for Battlefront II’s EA PLAY reveal
You’ll be able to tune in through both Twitch and YouTube this Saturday, June 10 in order to get your first glimpse of Battlefront II gameplay straight from EA PLAY.
EA announced earlier today that the “LIVE @ EA PLAY” presentation will be viewable on both EA.com and EA’s Twitch channel. That presentation begins at Noon PT / 3 p.m. ET on Saturday and promises the debut of the Battlefront II gameplay trailer.
For those outside the U.S. time zones, here is a handy map detailing the presentations start times throughout the world (H/T jamesuela on Reddit):
The next big event on Saturday is the Battlefront II gameplay reveal livestream featuring the Clone Wars-era Assault on Theed. It’ll start a half hour after the EA PLAY kick-off presentation at 12:30 p.m. PT / 3:30 p.m. ET. EA Star Wars revealed earlier today that you’ll be able to watch the gameplay livestream through the official EA Star Wars YouTube channel. It’ll also be available through the previously-mentioned EA channels.
The entire event encompassing the opening presentation and the gameplay livestream is slated to run 90 minutes until 1:30 p.m. PT / 4:30 p.m. ET. An extended broadcast is planned to run immediately following for 90 minutes, although no Battlefront II info is currently promised for that airing.
During the reveal livestream, Battlefront II’s 20-versus-20 Galactic Assault mode will be shown off. We’ll get to see clones defend Naboo’s capital city of Theed against the droids and their Multi-Troop Transport. Other vehicles that’ll be featured include N-1 Starfighters, Vulture Droids, AT-RTs and AATs. Darth Maul and Rey have been confirmed as hero characters for the reveal event, although there will also be two more currently-unannounced heroes.
EA PLAY itself runs until Monday, June 12 at the Hollywood Palladium. Throughout the weekend, those in attendance will get a hands-on chance at Battlefront II.
Battlefront II is slated to release November 17 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Keep up-to-date by following SWGO on Facebook or Twitter.
