Symthic weapon stats updated for latest Battlefront patch!

Stormtrooper just misses a pulse cannon shot.

Stats tracking website Symthic.com recently updated their Battlefront page to include weapons from last week’s patch.

Weapons and items included in the Death Star expansion are: TL-50 Heavy Repeater, K-16 Byar Pistol, Medical Droid and Laser Trip Mine.

I definitely recommend heading over to Symthic’s Battlefront page if you want to look at in-depth comparisons. However, I’ll post a few of my highlights and takeaways below:

  • The TL-50 is very similar to the DLT-19. However, the new weapon has lower maximum damage (17 versus 15) while holding a higher fire rate (700 rpm to 600 rpm). Coupled with its secondary fire, the concussion blast, I don’t really see a reason to use the DLT-19 (or the RT-97c, for that matter) over the TL-50. The TL-50 is slightly weaker over longer ranges, however.
  • The K-16 mimics the A280C in damage (maximum of 25, minimum of 12). However, its rate of fire is much slower (400 rpm to 240 rpm) and it more closely matches the DT-12’s 250 rpm. That said, the K-16’s advantage is in its secondary fire, which might need something done to it.
  • Exact damage stats for the Laser Trip Mine’s explosion are: 100 damage within 1.5 meters. This fades to zero by 3 meters.
  • Note that some of the trait changes have been updated on Symthic, but not all (like the Berserker).

Anyways, cool to see the site updated! If you haven’t been on Symthic before, it’s worth poking around and digging into each of the weapons’ numbers. The stat bars in-game aren’t always accurate and they really only provide a simple glance. Symthic gives a much more robust look at stats; you can see fire rate, damage, time-to-kill charts as well as recoil spread (plus more!). It’s also great for doing side-by-side comparisons of weapons.
