Rogue One: Recon 360 out now on Facebook; tomorrow on YouTube (Updated)

The Rogue One: Recon 360 experience is now available to watch via Verizon Wireless’ Facebook page.

Previously, the experience was exclusive to Verizon stores across the United States.

The experience will be coming to YouTube tomorrow, November 15. I’ll be sure to update this post and include a link once it’s available. (Edit: It’s up now).

Set from the vantage point of a Rebel X-Wing pilot, Recon 360 is a neat experience that acts as a bit of a mini-prologue to Rogue One. Especially at under two minutes, it’s certainly worth a watch.

If you have a mobile device with a gyroscope, you’ll be able to move your device around and get different views as the video progresses. If you’re on desktop, you can hold down click and drag the pointer around to achieve the same results.

Edit: Just to note, this is a different experience than the Battlefront Rogue One X-Wing VR Mission that’s coming to PSVR. Recon 360 is available to anyone who can access Facebook or YouTube, while the X-Wing VR Mission is available to those with a PS4, a PSVR headset and a copy of Battlefront.

You should be able to watch the experience embedded below. If it’s not working properly for you, here’s the direct link.

Update 10:15 am PT 11/15: The experience is now out on YouTube. Here’s the direct link, embed is below. I recommend watching it on a mobile device unless you have extremely fast internet. The desktop experience isn’t great, as lower resolutions look blocky while higher resolutions can cause choppy framerates/require buffering.
