Rogue One: Scarif DLC shown off in Battlefront’s Ultimate Edition trailer

Key art for Rogue One: Scarif in Battlefront.

The trailer Ultimate Edition for Battlefront just dropped. It showcased several shots from the Rogue One Scarif: DLC.

The key art for the pack was also revealed and can be seen above.

At first glance, the trailer reveals footage of: A U-Wing taking off, Shoretroopers, new Rebel digs for Scarif and three AT-ACTs/AT-ATs at once. I’m also unsure, but I think I see Jyn carrying a lightsaber? (Feel free to correct me on that; it’s possible its some other technology). (The popular theory right now is that it’s a baton).

The key art further confirms TIE Strikers, in addition to the Rebellion’s U-Wings. Additionally,  Death Troopers are seen flanking Krennic.

It also officially confirms the December 6 release date, which was unofficially revealed earlier today.

Additionally, some new hints arrived in the form of a blog post on the official website. From the post:

Joining the battle are two new playable heroes: Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, as well as a new multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat.

Former lead designer Dennis Brannvall previously hinted at multi-stage gameplay in early October, but this is the first official confirmation.

That post also confirmed that the PSVR-exclusive Rogue One X-Wing VR Mission will arrive alongside the DLC on December 6.

It’s also interesting to see that we’ll be getting both space and ground battles in the same pack. If I were to guess, the first phase will be in space, while the next two phases will be infantry combat on Scarif.

I figured I’d take a few screencaps of the trailer and you can see them below.
