The CJ-9 Bo-Rifle has begun rolling out in Battlefront!
The CJ-9 Bo-Rifle can now be picked up in Battlefront!
As rumored earlier, the bo-rifle is a viral pickup. This means that if you kill a player who owns the bo-rifle, they will drop a golden pickup. Once you grab the golden pickup, you obtain the bo-rifle.
The drop started earlier today by Battlefront producer Paul Keslin, who began dropping the weapon on European servers on Xbox One. Keslin noted that he would drop more bo-rifles later on in different regions “at a decent hour.”
The game’s weapon designer Christian Johannesen started the drop on PS4. Other members of the Battlefront team have also started the drop for different platforms/regions.
Couple of things to note:
- The golden pickup is only visible to you after you kill a player who owns the weapon.
- You can gain it “[v]irally from anyone who has it”.
- It is a primary weapon.

Happy hunting! I’m unfortunately leaving for Christmas vacation today and won’t be able to get it until I get back home. However, I’m definitely looking forward to trying out the weapon—from what I’ve gathered, it’s pretty powerful!
