Get ready for a January Battlefront patch to arrive “soon”

Lando’s Battlefront reign will soon come to a close.

Players won’t be able to abuse the smuggler’s Power Blast after the game’s January patch, according to producer Paul Keslin on the official forums. Lando is currently in a broken state where his Power Blast ability can be used infinitely without a cooldown period. This particular bug has been in the game since December’s Rogue One update.

No specific date in January is set for the patch. However, Keslin noted that the patch is “coming soon” and is currently “being fully QA’d before being sent over to our platform partners for further verification.” This makes me think that Tuesday, January 17 and Tuesday, January 24 are likely candidates for the patch’s drop date.

Other fixes beyond squashing the Lando bug will be announced by community manager Mat Everett via the full patch notes after the patch goes live.

I wouldn’t expect fresh content (such as the mysterious Hero Blast) with this patch. Keslin noted that the patch will contain “some fixes and balance tweaks” but didn’t mention anything else.
