February’s Xbox Live Games with Gold to include The Force Unleashed
Microsoft announced yesterday that the first Force Unleashed game will be included in February’s Xbox Live Games with Gold offering.
Those that are members of Xbox’s paid online service will be able to download the Xbox 360 version of The Force Unleashed from February 16 to 28. The game is backwards compatible on the Xbox One and normally retails for $19.99.
Other games available during February include the Xbox 360 game Monkey Island 2: Special Edition (also a LucasArts creation) and the Xbox One titles Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Project CARS.
The Force Unleashed originally released in September 2008 for a plethora of systems. The game revolves around Starkiller, an apprentice of Darth Vader. It takes place between Episodes III and IV.
A sequel later released in 2010. The Xbox 360 versions of both games were made backwards compatible on the Xbox One in May 2016.
Xbox Live Gold is a paid subscription service offered by Microsoft for their Xbox platform. Buying a yearly subscription through Microsoft will run you $4.99 per month.
I honestly haven’t touched The Force Unleashed franchise for a while, although I might try it out again at some point soon. If you’re not on Xbox, you can pick up the game on Steam for $19.99 (although it routinely dips in price).
