Check out Rey & Kylo Ren’s The Last Jedi looks thanks to Battlefront II promo art (Update 2: Slightly higher quality found)

Update April 28, 11:02 a.m. PT: I came across even better versions via Jack Manuel on Twitter:

Update April 28, 9:14 a.m. PT: Tumblr page Boom Da Funk has found slighty higher-quality versions of Rey and Kylo Ren from GameStop Ireland’s promo art. I’m uncertain the source of these images, but they’re certainly better quality (if still rather poor). Again, note that these are movie stills, and not in-game renders.

I’ve shared the new versions below:

Original article below:

A fuller look at what Rey and Kylo Ren will wear in The Last Jedi has arrived thanks to some promotional art for Battlefront II.

Shared via the GameStop Ireland listing for Battlefront II, this art features how Rey and Kylo’s The Last Jedi outfits will look for the game and the movie. Pre-ordering any version of Battlefront II will net you these exclusive The Last Jedi skins for both characters.

Here’s a close-up of the picture in question (and slightly zoomed in):

A few notes:

  1. Both these images are of movie production stills and not actual in-game images. As such, it’s possible the final design will be different in game (however, I think that’s unlikely).
  2. GameStop Ireland (or someone else) probably edited these pictures onto this art. It’s especially weird to see movie stills being used to promote the game. This also is the only “official” copy of this art; I haven’t been able to dig up another version elsewhere (besides the outlets that are sharing the original GameStop Ireland image).
  3. The way the images are set up seems to tie the brand new untitled First Order hero ship to Kylo and the Millennium Falcon to Rey. However, I wouldn’t say that’s entirely confirmed just yet (although it wouldn’t really be shocking).

Unfortunately, this all means that we don’t have a high-quality version of this art. However, we do have some decent looks at both Kylo and Rey and how they’ll appear in The Last Jedi (and as skins in Battlefront II).

First up is Kylo. The below image can be found on the official Battlefront II website (and does appear to be a high-quality rendering of an in-game model):

Overall, Kylo’s look seems pretty similar to his The Force Awakens garb—sans the helmet of course.

Next up is Rey. Rey’s image in the promo art actually appears to be a wider shot of this still that released in February:

Image transformed thanks to haroldjc on Reddit.

Interestingly, Rey’s appearance in both those promo images differs from what we’ve seen in The Last Jedi teaser (which is also what she wears at the very end of The Force Awakens). Her hair is up in the trailer and the over color scheme is different:

Speculating on the movie here, perhaps there’s a time jump and Rey will don the recently-shown off outfit during the film’s final act. Perhaps the look Rey wears at the end of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi will be unlockable in-game (without preording), but that’s just further speculation on my part.

What do you think of Rey and Kylo’s new digs? Let us know in the comments below, or ping SWGO on Facebook or Twitter.
