Visceral’s Star Wars game won’t be stepping Battlefront II’s toes during E3 week
While we’re basically drowning in Battlefront II content after the EA PLAY reveal yesterday, news on one upcoming Star Wars game has been lacking.
The game is Visceral’s untitled Star Wars action-adventure project, which we got a short snippet of it at last year’s EA PLAY. Unfortunately, it looks like we won’t be seeing any new information regarding the game in the very near future.
The game’s creative director Amy Hennig (who has helmed the Uncharted series in the past) noted that Visceral’s title wouldn’t make an appearance at EA PLAY due to it being Battlefront II’s year:
It's #Battlefront2's year – very proud of our friends at DICE and Motive! We're still hard at work on our game, though, have no fear… 🙂

Hennig’s co-write, Todd Stashwick further re-iterated that this year’s E3/EA PLAY is all about Battlefront II:
DICE and Motive have something great w/ #Battlefront2. It's their time. We will have our day in the twin suns. No fear. It will be glorious.

While even a short teaser of the game would’ve been nice, it’s understandable that EA wanted to put all their Star Wars focus on Battlefront II. That game is one of 2017’s biggest launches and I’m sure the publisher is placing a lot of marketing effort behind it.
EA did mention last month that Visceral’s game will arrive at some point between April 2018 and March 2019. As we didn’t get any info this EA PLAY, my guess is that it’ll probably arrive at the later end of the launch window. That means that it would come after the currently untitled Han Solo movie, which is due to hit screens May 25, 2018.
