‘Hunted’, a Battlefront fan-made cinematic short film, is seriously epic
‘Hunted’ is a cinematic short film crafted by UndeadPatherfinder—who I covered before (when they went by UndeadToast1249)—and it’s really quite something.
Focusing on Boba Fett and several of the other bounty hunter’s from EA’s Battlefront, the film also features the likes of Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, as well as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
UndeadPatherfinder truly succeeded when it comes to the film’s cinematography. There are some really gorgeous shots and the overall camera work does an excellent job portraying the action. The tight editing work on ‘Hunted’ is also very helpful.
The 18-minute film’s YouTube description reads:
HUNTED is a fan-made effort to breath new life into a character that all Star Wars fans would love to see more on-screen time of. The one and only Boba Fett. The hunt for the famous smuggler Han Solo has begun and the bounty hunters are out to collect. At the same time, Luke Skywalker pursues his father’s presence and finds himself in the Carbonite-Freezing chambers on the cloud city of Bespin where his new found skills will be put to the ultimate test. Follow your favorite Heroes and Villains as they take part in the second part of an ongoing battle across a galaxy far, far away.
UndeadPathfinder is also behind ‘Father & Son‘, another Battlefront cinematic short film that is certainly worth a watch.
I’ll note that the film highlights just how amazing Battlefront can look. I’ve said similar things before, but Battlefront may be easy to critique for gameplay decisions or lack of content. However, DICE’s efforts really shine through when it comes to the look and feel of the game. Battlefront truly captures the essence of Star Wars and that’s something ‘Hunted’ really brings out.
All told, it’s a very impressive piece of work by UndeadPathfinder and I definitely recommend checking it out:
