Glimpse of Death Star DLC gameplay from gamescom! (Update: video taken down)
Thanks to Italian video game site Ridble, we now have a glimpse gameplay for the Death Star expansion’s new mode Battle Station.
The footage from gamescom showcases the first phase of the mode, where the Rebels need to take down Star Destroyers in order to infiltrate the Death Star.
A couple of notes about what’s seen:
- The first phase takes place in the outer asteroid field of a planet’s ring.
- There is a countdown timer that is at least eight-and-a-half minutes long (possibly starts off at 10?).
- This portion of the mode seems to function like Walker Assault, but instead of uplinks, the Rebels need to trigger ten of something that is designated by a TIE fighter icon. Once this is achieved, Y-Wings will bomb the Star Destroyer.
- Star Destroyers seem to have weak points.

Update: The video has been taken down do to a copyright claim by EA. I assume Ridble wasn’t supposed to post footage of the gameplay. While his video doesn’t include gameplay, Elliot from BattlefrontUpdates does a nice recap of how the first phase of Battle Station works.
