Weekly Wrap-Up: Battlefront, Rogue One & more Battlefront!

1. Trailer, more info arrived for Battlefront’s Rogue One: Scarif DLC
From teases early in the week to a full-blown trailer, a lot of information arrived for Battlefront’s upcoming DLC, which lands for Season Pass holders on Tuesday, December 6. Those that purchase the expansion individually can access it on December 20.

2. The Old Republic’s latest expansion arrived
Knights of the Eternal Throne, SWTOR’s latest expansion, dropped this week alongside a massive patch. Those who pre-ordered the expansion gained access on Tuesday. Meanwhile, all other subscribers gained access earlier today. A small maintenance update will be applied tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
3. EA’s CFO teased Battlefront 2
During an investor conference, EA’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen teased next year’s Battlefront 2 and called it a “a much bigger, more exciting Battlefront.” To read his full comments on the game, as well as how the new movies impact the franchise, check out this article.
4. Mobile game Star Wars: Force Arena got its first trailer
Officially only out in Australia right now, Star Wars: Force Arena received its first trailer. The trailer for the game, which is a MOBA-style mobile game, is a blend of cinematics and gameplay. No date for a full release has been set yet for the Netmarble-developed title.
5. Bioware hinted that they’d like to make another Star Wars game
Bioware, the developers behind The Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic, had an interview with Game Informer earlier in the week. In that interview, the studio’s general manager Aaryn Flynn revealed that “there’s always that itch” for those within Bioware to develop a new and fully-fledged Star Wars game. Bioware currently doesn’t have a Star Wars title announced, but Flynn’s words give hope to that something might be coming down the road.
