Hot Toys' Shoretrooper figure.

It was a week of scarce information. However, exciting new details on the Rogue One: Scarif DLC in Battlefront dropped just today and Galaxy of Heroes received its Ships update. Here are SWGO’s top five news highlights:

1. New details on weapons, game mode for Rogue One: Scarif in Battlefront

An Amazon listing for Rogue One: Scarif revealed several new clues about the DLC. The primary details are:

  • The new mode is called Infiltration.
  • The new blasters are the A180 and the DT-29. The A180 will feature three abilities.
  • One Star Card and two power-ups will arrive with the pack.
  • The U-Wing is confirmed as a vehicle. No mention of the TIE Striker.

2. Galaxy of Heroes received the new Ships mode

Galaxy of Heroes’ much-awaited Ships mode arrived this week. You can check out the patch notes for full details on what the pack included. From all the minor details on how Ships functions to a reworked Boba Fett, the mobile game certainly saw a substantial update.

A trailer for this mode was also released.

3. SWTOR’s new expansion got gameplay footage

Several outlets got an early chance to play Knights of the Eternal Empire, The Old Republic’s upcoming expansion that arrives December 2. Additionally, server downtimes for the expansion’s update was also posted.

4. Secondary fire, other abilities to see tweaks in Battlefront

Battlefront’s weapons designer Christian Johannesen confirmed a few changes coming to the game. Chief among these changes are tweaks to secondary fire against vehicles and heroes as well as a reworked cooling flush system.  The Stinger Pistol will also be seeing a buff, as will the Disruption Charge Card. Johannesen also teased the upcoming Bo-Rifle, but didn’t reveal any details about the weapon.

5. EW article provided a potential clue for space combat in Battlefront.

Set above the planet Scarif, the Shield Gate protects Imperial installations on the planet. Details on this space shield were provided in an EW article earlier this week. With the promise of space battles in the Rogue One DLC, it seems likely that at least part of the expansion (and its mode, Infiltration) will focus on the Shield Gate.
