Weekly Wrap-Up: Rogue One DLC hints, KOTOR III talk & more!

This week was surprisingly busy for Battlefront news, while Knights of the Old Republic II devs talked about crafting a sequel. Here’s SWGO’s top five news highlights for this past week:

1. Reveal soon for Battlefront’s Rogue One DLC

Level artist Daniel Cambrand announced that he has completed his part for Battlefront’s final expansion. He also promised that a reveal is “coming soon.”

Meanwhile, lighting lead Oscar Carlen is hard at work, indicating that the end is near for the development process; lighting is usually one of the last bits to be completed.

On the downside, former lead designer Dennis Brannvall, confirmed that the next patch for the game won’t happen until the DLC arrives.

2. Obsidian Entertainment discussed KOTOR III

Employees at Obsidian Entertainment, which developed Knights of the Old Republic II, discussed the prospect a building a third part to the KOTOR series. Social media manager Mikey Dowling said, “We’d love to return to the galaxy far, far away if we had the chance!”

3. Battlefront’s lead designer stepped off the project

Dennis Brannvall, who was Battlefront’s lead designer for the throughout the DLCs, worked his final day on the game. He stepped down from his post for paternity leave as his family welcomed its second child. No replacement was announced, but Brannvall said that there is “no need to replace” him.

4. Slew of fixes are inbound for heroes in Battlefront

Guillaume Mroz, the hero designer was quite active on Twitter this week. As I wound up writing three articles, each with various tidbits, I’ll just do a bullet point list:

5. Rogue One: Recon 360 Experience announced

Announced during The Star Wars show, Rogue One: Recon 360 Experience lets you experience a space battle connected to Rogue One from the vantage point of an X-Wing pilot. The experience is currently available at select Verizon Wireless stores throughout the United States. It will then come to Facebook 360 on November 14 and YouTube 360 on November 15.
