Lots of new info arrived this week in the Star Wars gaming universe. From more insight into how Battlefront’s Rogue One expansion will work to details on various upcoming Star Wars games, here are SWGO’s top five news highlights:

1. Slew of details on Battlefront’s Rogue One: Scarif

After level artist Daniel Cambrand teased that playtests for Battlefront’s expansion were “so much fun”, real details on the pack were revealed. First, the pack is slated to launch December 6 for Season Pass holders. Next, a trailer for the Ultimate Edition of Battlefront arrived, bringing with it footage and clues for Scarif. Finally, a few minor clarifications and hints emerged in the hours that followed the trailer’s release.

Oh, and Battlefront has bonus score and free trial events going on right now! They’ll run until Sunday, November 20.

2. Rogue One: Recon 360 arrived to Facebook, YouTube

Rogue One: Recon, a 360 experience, launched this week on Facebook and YouTube’s 360 platforms. Set from the vantage point of a Rebel X-Wing pilot, the roughly two-minute experience showcases a vital point in Rebel history. As it’s a short prequel for the upcoming Rogue One movie, I highly recommend giving Recon 360 a try if you haven’t already.

3. Pre-registrations are up for the MOBA-esque Star Wars: Force Arena

Star Wars doesn’t have a MOBA, but that looks set to chance as pre-registrations are now available for Force Arena. This battle arena game will pit players into PvP action on mobile devices. Featuring over 60 character from the Star Wars universe, Force Arena will release for both Android and iOS.

4. Meager hints arrived for Visceral and Respawn’s upcoming games

First, Amy Hennig discussed Visceral’s upcoming Star Wars game. She noted that while it it’ll be “spiritually similar to Uncharted” players shouldn’t expect it to actually be “Star Wars Uncharted.” Next, Vince Zampella talked about Respawn’s Star Wars game. He said that the game is going to be “about the character and their experiences.”

5. A new trailer, short story dropped for SWTOR’s upcoming expansion

On Wednesday, the “Rule the Galaxy” trailer dropped for The Old Republic’s Knights of the Eternal Empire expansion. Then yesterday, a short story called “A Mother’s Hope” gave a bit of backstory to two key characters in the expansion. KOTET is due out December 2.
